Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) Altman Award in Developmental Neuroscience

2017.10.30 | MITT

The Award was established to commemorate the outstanding achievements in developmental neuroscience of the late Professor Joseph Altman, who discovered the adult neurogenesis in the cerebral cortex and received the International Prize for Biology from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan in 2012. Dr. Shirley A. Bayer, Dr. Altman's widow, offered to make a donation to the JNS to fund the award to honor the scientists in the field of developmental neuroscience. Accordingly, the Award recognizes young researchers who have made remarkable achievements in this field.

The JNS is now announcing the second call for applications for the Award, and will accept applications from all over the world.
